Chris Simpson studied at High Wycombe and The Royal College of Art, London.
On leaving college he started his own business as a consultant designer and also lectured in several college and universities.
In the late 70's and early 80's he was Head of Department of Fine Craftmanship and Design at Rycotewood College, Thame and in 1987 resigned and returned to his own practise.
